To obtain a laminate plate excellent in weatherability, light transmittance, and shielding properties by forming a weatherable resin layer on one side of a polycarbonate resin layer and embossing the other side.
A weatherable resin layer formed on one side of a polycarbonate resin layer is formed by laminating a film of an acrylic resin or a polycarbonate resin containing an ultraviolet absorbing agent in a high concentration on a polycarbonate resin layer or by coextruding these resins with a polycarbonate resin as a backing. In the embossing to be applied on the other side of the polycarbonate resin layer, the polycarbonate resin sheet extruded from an extruder is passed between a crimp roll and a flat roll of a pair so that the weatherable resin layer contacts the flat roll. To obtain good natural lighting properties, the depth of the crimp in embossing is preferably adjusted to be 30-70 micron.
