PURPOSE: To improve the effect of saving the space of equipment by detecting a work with a laser beam processing device and selecting and executing the processing conditions previously set for each of the shapes of the work from the result of the detection.
CONSTITUTION: The work 2 set on the pallet 1 is transported to a processing position. The image of the work 2 is picked up by a CCD camera 3 provided right above the work and the image signal is sent to a control unit 4 by which the shape identification is executed. On the other hand, the processing conditions previously set for all of the works to be processed by this device are selected by a triaxial control robot 5 provided right above the processing position and A laser oscillation controller 11, by which the processing is executed. The processing under the conditions meeting the work is executed in this way even if many kinds of the works are mixedly supplied. The need for the meaningless storage of the products and for the equipment and space for the storage is eliminated and the efficient processing is possible.
