Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser diode drive circuit for a laser diode for optical communication by which time for on-off is reduced, while the state of light emission of the laser diode is kept stable and exchange of signals for connection check is enabled.
SOLUTION: Current which passing through a photodiode 2 is converted into a voltage. The voltage passes through a filter circuit 13 and after passing through a differential amplifier 5, drives a laser diode 1 at a transistor 6. The light output is turned off by holding the output of the filter circuit 13 at a specified voltage and is turned on by releasing the hold.
