The control equipment computes the position coordinates of specific parts of the steel pipes 40 or specific parts in the vicinity when the steel pipes 40 face in a prescribed direction the plurality of irradiated and displayed steel pipe driving predetermined positions a1, a2, etc., based on the tunnel design data, and controls the laser surveying instrument 10 to irradiate the computed coordinate positions with the visible laser light. The direction of the steel pipe 40 is determined by operating the steel pipe 40 so that the radiation strikes upon the specific part of the steel pipe 40 or the specific part in the vicinity.
