Abstract:
To obtain single pulse laser light of subfemto-second (10-16 sec) order with a simple device constitution.
Nanosecond pulse laser light 2 of 1st wavelength is made incident on solid hydrogen 1 and nanosecond pulse laser light 3 of 2nd wavelength is made incident on the solid hydrogen 1 at a prescribed angle θ from the laser light 2 to generate quantum coherence and nanosecond pulse laser light 4 of 3rd wavelength is made incident on an area in which the quantum coherence is generated at a prescribed angle α from the laser light 3, so that femto-second pulse laser light 4 of the 3rd wavelength is modulated to single subfemto-second pulse laser light 5.
