Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make stable repair for a liquid crystal display.
CONSTITUTION: A defective picture element G of a liquid crystal display 2 is scanned with a pulse laser spot having as small a diameter as 1-3μm as the Q switch output emitted from a pulse laser oscillator 30 so that the orienting property of the defective picture element G is lessened, wherein the overlap rate (a) of two pulse laser spots is defined by a=1-(v/f.d), where (d) is pulse laser spot diameter, (f) is repetitive frequency of the pulse laser, and (v) is scanning velocity. The overlap rate (a) of the pulse laser spot is set to 0.5-0.9.
