Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the projecting length of a latch member easily.
SOLUTION: In this latch device, a latch member 2 is disposed movably into a case 1 by projecting the latch front end section 2a of the latch member 2, a fixing screw 11 fixing a handle is inserted into the case 1, and the latch member 2 is moved in the direction of pulling-back into the case 1 by drawing the handle and a latch is released. A cylindrical body 4 for inserting the fixing screw 11 for the handle is arranged movably into the case 1 in the rectangular direction to the latch member 2, rack sections 2b, 4a are formed to the latch member 2 and a part of the cylindrical body 4, a pinion 5 is engaged with the rack section 2b of the latch member 2 at all times and disposed so as to be interlinked with the rack section 4a of the cylindrical body 4 only at the time of the pulling of the handle, and an adjusting screw 3 is fitted to the side wall section of the case 1 so that the latch member 2 is shifted and the projecting length of the front end section 2a of the latch member 2 can be adjusted.
