Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a prepolymer having a phospholipid-like structure, which has a relatively high molecular weight, can be easily molded into tough moldings such as films and is easily producible by forming a copolymer from three types of structural units derived from specified three (meth)acrylic esters and to obtain a polyurethane.
SOLUTION: This prepolymer comprises structural units based on a phosphocholine-group-containing (meth)acrylic ester, a hydrophobic-group- containing (meth)acrylic ester and a hydroxy (meth)acrylic ester. This is represented by for example the formula (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each hydrogen or methy; R4 is a 1-2C hydrocarbon group; R5 is a 2-6 C bivalent hydrocarbon group; (m) is an integer of 2-6; the molar ratio x:y:z=1:(1-10):(0.2-1); and the bonding may be of a random or block type; and (Eq1) and (Eq2) are each a polymer terminal derived from a radical initiator) and has an average molecular weight of 3,000-1,000,000.
