The lateral gutter 1 for the game machines has the ball path 8 formed with the bottom plate 2 and side walls 3 and 4 being erected from both sides of the bottom plate and facing each other and a flow straightening part 13 for aligning the balls flowing down from one to the other end side of the ball path through the ball path in the single row from a plurality of rows and the facing interval of the side walls facing each other at the flow straightening part is formed gradually narrower to from one to the other end side of the ball path. The side walls facing each other at the rectification part is provided respectively with ball contact guide parts (slots 17 and 18) extending in the direction of the balls flow, each of the ball contact guide parts is so formed as to be hollowed outward from the internal surface contacting the balls of the side walls and one and the other ball contact guide parts are differentiated in the direction of the extension thereof so as to divide the balls vertically with each other.
