A tubular part 1 to be the laundry pole and a hanging wall 2 having holes 6 for hanging down hangers are formed integrally by roll forming and both end faces of the tubular part and the hanging wall are curled to be reinforced. The part of displacement of the tubular part and the hanging wall is bent sharply to increase the strength greatly, while the face of the hole for hanging down and that of a notch 7 for a pole support are curled and further pressed outward so that the inner surface is made smooth. On the occasion of joining the laundry poles, the end face on one side of the tubular part is drawn to be joined and stiffening plates are put on the poles and fastened with screws.
