To provide a laying block with favorable drainage providing an accent to the ground in regard to a conventional laying block providing only a dull and uninteresting state of continuous masses of concrete or brick when it is used as a curb buried in the ground and forming a boundary and sometimes causing puddles when drainage of a ground surface is poor since all rainwater flows from a top part of the laying block to the ground surface.

In the laying block 1, a plurality of recessed grooves 2, 2, etc., completely crossing in a lateral direction are formed with intervals on the whole area of the top part.
