To easily layout variable displacement compressors, whose maximum discharging capacities are different from each other by setting a distance between an inclining center axis of a swash plate and a part abutting on a rotary supporting body in a sleeve, so as to set a maximum inclining angle of the swash plate.
In a variable displacement compressor, a quantity for releasing refrigerant gas from a crank chamber 15 into a suction chamber 32 is regulated, and pressure in the crank chamber 15 is changed by a relation between the releasing quantity and a quantity of delivered refrigerant gas which is led from an air supply passage 38. A difference between pressure in the crank chamber 15 and pressure in a cylinder bore 29 is changed, and the inclining angle of a rotary swash plate 19 is changed, and thereby, the discharged capacity of a compressor is regulated. In this case, in a sleeve 18 wherein the wash plate 19 is journalled via a support pin 20 freely to incline, a distance between an inclining center axis of the swash plate 19 and an abutting part 23a for regulating the maximum inclining angle is set, and thereby, the maximum inclining angle of the swash plate 19 is decided. Namely, the longer the slide movable quantity of the sleeve 18 is, the more gradually reduced, the more the maximum inclining angle of the swash plate 19 is reduced.
