To provide a leak inspection device for preventing the leak of fuel vapor.
The device comprises an evaporation system 14 into which the fuel vapor generated in a fuel tank 12 is distributed and which has a canister 16 for desorptively adsorbing the fuel vapor, a measurement passage 30, a pump 32 communicated with the canister 16 via the measurement passage 30, a pressure measuring means 44 for measuring pressure in the measurement passage 30, and an inspecting means 48 which inspects the leak of the fuel vapor from the evaporation system 14 to the outside in accordance with the pressure measured by the pressure measuring means 44 while controlling the pump 32 to reduce the pressure of the evaporation system 14 and which forcibly finishes the pressure reduction of the evaporation system 14 when detecting the exhaustion of the fuel vapor from the canister 16 to the measurement passage 30 during inspecting the leak.
