Abstract:

To provide a lens barrel capable of executing an appropriate focus adjustment, and further to provide a camera system.

A lens barrel includes: a mounting section capable of mounting a camera body thereto; an imaging optical system that has a focusing lens; a driving section capable of driving the focusing lens between an extreme closeness limit position corresponding to a limit position when performing driving control of the focusing lens at an extreme close side and an infinity limit position corresponding to a limit position when performing the driving control of the focusing lens at an infinite side; a transmitting and receiving section capable of transmitting and receiving signals between the camera body and the transmitting and receiving section; and a controller for controlling the transmitting and receiving section such that the transmitting and receiving section transmits either an extreme close focusing position corresponding to the closest side position at which the imaging optical system can be focused on an image surface or an infinite focusing position corresponding to the most infinite side position at which the imaging optical system can be focused on the image surface, the extreme closeness limit position and the infinity limit position to the camera body.
