Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel that stably detects a start of an operation rotating an operation ring with low power consumption even in a low power consumption mode, and then releases the low power consumption mode, and thereby, stably detects an amount of rotation of the rotation ring with high accuracy without inducing increase in manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: In a lens barrel 2, all of three second electrically-conduction parts 108b constituting detection means 26 of a start of a rotating operation of an operation ring 24 is arranged in a void between different ends 108c and 108d of a first electrically-conduction part 108a in a periphery direction and at a position where all of the second electrically-conduction parts 108b does not face each other in a radial direction of a cylinder member 103. Thereby, even if an electrically-conduction missing part 109a is exposed in the void between the different ends 108c and 108d in the periphery direction of the first electrically-conduction part 108a, when an electrode brush 104a comes into contact with the electrically-conduction missing part 109a, all of electrode brushes 104a and 104b does not come into contact with the second electrically-conduction parts 108b, which in turn stably detects an electric conduction state between electrodes brushes 104a to 104c.
