Title:
LENS CENTERING METHOD, LENS WORKING METHOD, AND LENS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3840154
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and stably center a lens in a lens centering machine.
SOLUTION: The lens is centered by rotating at a high speed by sandwiching a surface A and a surface B of the lens W under low pressure by bell holders 1 and 2. After completing such centering, a side peripheral surface of the lens W is worked into a true circle by a grinding wheel 5 by reducing a rotating speed. The difficulty of centering and friction between the bell holders 1 and 2 are predicted by surface roughness and a centering factor on the basis of a shape of the lens W, and efficiency and stabilization of the centering action are attained by controlling a centering condition such as a centering rotating speed, centering time and lens sandwiching force at centering time.
