Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make a visual field range almost coincide when a video image for an existing size pattern is picked up nearly coincident with visual field range when a video image for a laterally long sized screen is picked up by providing a wide angle side end position adjustment means for making them almost coincident with each other to the device.
CONSTITUTION: A wide angle side end position adjustment means 30 is connected to an end limit section 24. The means 30 changes the position of an output terminal T of a potentiometer 24a. When the mode for picking up an image for a laterally long screen is selected, a moving range of a zoom lens group 11 in the wide angle mode is made narrower. When the mode for picking up a video image for the existing screen size is selected, an end position is changed to make a moving range of the lens group 11 wider. Concretely, the end position of the wide angle side is set to a position at which the magnification is 1 for a laterally long screen whose aspect ratio is 16:9 while the magnification is 0.8 for an existing size screen. Thus, one set of the television camera is used to pick up a video image of screens whose aspect ratios are different.
