To eliminate the need for supply of power for keeping a correction lens on an optical axis when photographing takes place without using a shake correction function, to achieve compact configuration, and to correctly shift a correction lens.
The lens drive mechanism eccentrically drives at least one lens or one lens group (hereinafter referred to as "correction lens") 40 of a lens systems composing a photographic lens within a flat plane orthogonal to an optical axis direction z-z. The mechanism includes: an electrical-mechanical conversion element 110 fixed to a lens barrel in which the photographic lens is disposed, and mechanically deformed by the application of a voltage; and a link mechanism 120 for enlarging the mechanical deformation of the electric-mechanical conversion element and transmitting it to the correction lens. The link mechanism is disposed outside the effective diameter of the correction lens so as to surround the correction lens as viewed in the direction of the optical axis.
