To provide a lens-driving device which can maintain position of a lens unit, without energizing a voice coil motor in an image shooting state, and to provide an image pickup device.
In the lens-driving device 2, when a lead screw 38 is driven rotationally, in a direction where a second lens unit 31 is moved further to a subject side from a lens position non-restricted phase, the lead screw 38 moves in an opposite direction to the subject regarding an optical axis direction with respect to the second lens unit 31. In this case, as a motor-holding member 37 can move in the optical axis direction, the lead screw 38 and the motor holding member 37 move in a direction which is opposite to the subject regarding the optical axis direction. In conjunction with this, a DC motor 36 and a link 81, held by the motor holding member 37, move integrally in the opposite direction to the subject regarding the optical axis direction, and a presser bar link 82 is driven and presses a projecting section 42 of a first lens frame 23. According to this, movement of a first lens unit 21 in the optical axis direction is restricted.
