The strobe light emitted from a strobe discharge tube 37 transmits through a protector 39 to emit outward from a strobe light emitting part 7. Strobe light 40 as a part of the strobe light is made to irradiate a dimmer plate 19. Only blue light in the strobe light 40 is reflected while light of other colors is absorbed by the dimmer plate 19. The strobe reflected light 41 transmits through the protector 39 and is reflected on a reflector 38 and again transmits through the protector 39 to emit outward from the strobe light emitting part 7. The protector 39 is formed from plastics containing a UV absorbent and absorbs light at ≤440 nm wavelength. Thus, the strobe reflected light 41 as blue light is dimmed and the strobe light irradiating the object is less colored in blue.
