PURPOSE: To provide a leukocyte-separating material having a highly stable ability for catching the leukocyte and having no danger of the flowage of foreign matters therefrom and used in the cases of separating the leukocyte by filtration methods, by comprising a porous material having a bubble point and a thickness in specific ranges, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: A leukocyte-separating material comprises a porous material having a bubble point of 0.08W0.30kg/cm2, preferably 0.13W0.25kg/cm2, and a thickness of ≥0.30mm, preferably ≥0.50mm. The porous material is preferably a polyvinyl alcohol series porous material or polyurethane series foam porous material and has preferably a porosity of 50W90%. The separating material is very readily packed into a separator and causes no clogging or channeling due to the caught leukocyte.
