To provide a lifting workbench apparatus simple in constitution, low in cost, easily moved without needing a driving part by external force and moreover supporting a heavy object safely.

A stage frame is provided to move up and down along a vertical frame arranged vertically on the ground. A balance weight and the stage frame are balanced in a state of being suspended and supported to the vertical frame through a pulley and a cable. Further, the stage frame is slidably engaged with a free column and locked in a required height position. During work, load is entirely imposed on the free column, and during vertical movement, the stage frame is vertically moved in a non-load state in balance with the balance weight. Since entire load is imposed on the free column during work, work is performed stably and safely.
