Title:
TERMITE REPELLING METHOD FOR FOUNDATION OF BUILDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009084902
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a termite repelling method for a foundation of a building, which is high in safety without using a chemical agent, maintains excellent termite repelling effect over a long time, and facilitates application work of a solution due to moderate viscosity of the solution.

The termite repelling method is implemented by filling a termite-repelling sealing material in a joint portion along a boundary between a side surface of the foundation of the building, embedded in the earth, and the ground or foundation concrete of the building. The termite repelling sealing material is prepared by mixing glass powder in a synthetic rubber resin emulsion made of a styrene-butane copolymer having a viscosity of 50 to 5,000 mPa S (25C), such that the glass powder ratio falls in the range of 20 to 80 wt.%.
