To provide a light emitting device executing an effective action for an ornamental purpose or the like, and using easily manufacturable light emitting diodes.

This light emitting device 10 is composed by forming a translucent pipe 15 by combining three or more translucent plates 12a, 12b and 12c each having light emitting diodes 20 mounted thereon by setting the surface with the light emitting diodes 20 mounted thereon on the inside surface side, and by mounting lids 30 to both edge parts of the translucent pipe 15. The lid 30 mounted to one-side edge part of the translucent pipe 15 is electrically connected to one-side electrodes of the light emitting diodes 20 mounted on the translucent plates, and the lid 30 mounted to the other-side edge part of the translucent pipe 15 is electrically connected to the other-side electrodes of the light emitting diodes 20 mounted on the translucent plates.
