Abstract:

To provide a new manufacturing method of poly(p-phenylenevinylene) which hardly forms carbonyl group.

A conjugated arylene or heteroarylene vinylene polymer is manufactured by conducting thermal conversion of polymer precursor within the temperature range of 150 to 300°C under the presence of a forming gas. The presence of a forming gas restricts the formation of carbonyl group, and as a result, the light luminescence of polymer and electroluminescence efficiency are enhanced.
