To provide a light quantity controller constituted so that the motion control at the opening/closing position of a blade member for controlling the light quantity can be arranged in a small-sized substrate, and also, the rebound of the blade is reduced, and then, the blade can be opened/closed at high speed.
The light quantity controller is provided with the substrate having an optical-path aperture, the blade members arranged on the substrate so as to open/close the optical-path aperture, a driving means for driving the blade members to open/close, and a stopper means for controlling the motion of the blade members at the opening position and the closing position, and the stopper means is constituted of an oblong hole in an opening/closing direction formed in the blade member and a stopper pin engaged in the oblong hole, the oblong hole is formed in a position retreated from the optical-path aperture in the whole opening/closing area of the blade member. Then, a stopper is constituted by arranging pin members as many as the blade members on the substrate.
