Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a light-receiving circuit in which an optical hybrid circuit is integrated on the same board without using an intersection waveguide and enable high-quality coherent light to be received.SOLUTION: The present invention is a light-receiving circuit 101 having: first light branching units 103, 104 for branching signal light into two waveguides; second light branching units 121, 122 for branching local emission light into two waveguides; light multiplexing units 105, 109, 113, 117 for multiplexing the signal light and local emission light and letting them interfere; light-receiving units 106, 107, 110, 111, 114, 115, 118, 119 for receiving the output light of each light multiplexing unit; and phase adjustment units 108, 112, 116, 120. Each of the light branching units is arranged so that the direction of local emission light propagation in the second light branching unit faces the direction of signal light propagation in the first light branching unit, and each of the light branching units is arranged so that the directions of output light propagation are aligned. Each of the waveguides is arranged so that they do not overlap each other in a plan view relative to the board.
