To provide a light which is installed and replaced conveniently without the necessity of considering the polarity when installing it.
The light is comprised of a light emitting diode, and varistors are installed at both ends of the light emitting diode. Thereby, a decorative light comprised of the light emitting diode and the varistors becomes a nonpolar light with respect to an AC power source, and always emits light in half-wave within one period voltage in the AC power source. The series light using the decorative light of this kind, eliminates the need for considering the positive/negative polarity of all light emitting diodes connected on one electric wire. Even if the light emitting diode is burned off, the varistor connected with the light emitting diode continues to conduct a current, and other light emitting diode on the same electric wire continues to emit light. It is hardly broken even when the light emitting diode blinks, and its service life is long. Furthermore, it is not necessary to consider the polarity when installing it, and it is installed and replaced conveniently. Furthermore, the decorative light is equipped with voltage dividing resistors to receive an instantaneous shock of voltage or current.
