A strip of light-shielding flap is formed by arranging warps in a thickness direction of the fabric. Many light-shielding flaps are stacked and arranged in a weaving direction at predetermined intervals, and wefts are weaved in the warps by securing spaces for enabling seeing through, and continuous fabric is formed. The light-shielding flaps act as slats of the conventional blinds for shielding direct sunlight and for preventing seeing through inside. Thereby, the light shielding fabric for curtains having high light-shielding performance can be obtained.
