Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source life-measuring device that is used for an electronic endoscope and does not cause any environmental contamination problems.
SOLUTION: A light source life-measuring device 50 is provided with a measuring means (a subtraction counter) for measuring the lighting time of a light source 20, thus measuring the total time of a light source. The lighting total time is stored in the non-volatile memory of the light source life-measuring device 50 as a data. When the lighting total time data exceeds a preset, specific time, a message for indicating the expiration of the light source appears on a TV monitor device 40.
