Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the lighting and decoration finish of a walkway in a good fashion by arranging positive light source and lens in handrail stands and passive light sources on the lower side of a handrail support.
CONSTITUTION: Positive light sources 11 arranged in handrail stands 2, 3 constitute a lighting device together with a lens 12 and center projections 9, 10 functioned as passive light sources. If the positive light sources 11 are band fluorescent lights or glass fiber cables, their lights 13 are directed to the center projections 9, 10 by the lens 12. In this case, the lights 13 are deflected to desired directions with the proper molding and surface characteristics of the center projections 9, 10.
