Abstract:
To suppress power consumption when turning on a cold cathode type fluorescent lamp.
This lighting device 1 includes a heater 14 provided at the outside center of the cold cathode type lamp 11 having an anode and a cathode and shorter than the lamp 11 for heating the lamp 11. In addition, the lighting device 1 includes inverters 12, 13 for applying starting voltage VS between the anode and the cathode provided at both ends of the lamp 11.
