Abstract:
To prevent a reduction in the amount of light emitted from a light source side in the light emitted from a light guide.SOLUTION: An illumination apparatus that emits light to an illuminated object includes a rod-shaped light guide 20 including: an incident surface 21 where light from the light source 40 enters; a reflection surface 23 provided with a diffusion portion 24 that diffuses the light entered from the incident surface 21; and an emission surface 22 that emits the light diffused by the diffusion portion 24 to the illuminated object. The light guide 20 includes: a shape change portion 31 from the incident surface 21 to a middle position; and a shape constant portion from the middle position to the center of the light guide 20 in the longitudinal direction. In the shape constant portion, the sectional area in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction does not change. In the shape change portion 31, the sectional area gradually decreases as the distance from the incident surface 21 increases. A plurality of diffusion portions 24 are provided between the position of the incident surface 21 and the middle position on the reflection surface 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
