To provide a lighting system used for a wall-mount type luminaire controlled by remote control signals with good directivity in receiving of the remote control signals, and to provide a luminaire using the lighting system.
The wall-mount type luminaire A is composed of a fixture main body 1, a lamp La mounted in the fixture main body 1, a globe 2 covering the lamp La, and the lighting system 3 arranged in the fixture main body 1 and lighting the lamp La. A remote control signal receiving part 31 is located at the position under the lamp La and almost on a center line Z1 of the wall-mount type luminaire in a lef and right direction, where extension lines 300, 300 of a receiving angle θ of the remote control signals do not interfere the fixture main body 1.
