To improve the appearance of a lighting equipment with making locking parts of a main body for attaching a lamp not to project outside a shade.

The lighting equipment comprises a main body 1 with a lamp socket 2 and a cylindrical shade 3. Three screw holes 5a are formed on a side of a larger diameter part 5 of the main body 1 at regular intervals. An external screw 10a of a support pillar 10 is screwed to each screw hole 5a. The shade 3 shaped into a cylinder has through-holes 3a as parts to be hitched. The shade 3 is supported with the support pillars 10 fixed to the main body 1 when locking parts 10b of the pillars 10 are inserted into the through-holes 3a, and the holes 3a are hitched to the locking parts 10b. Appearance of the equipment is improved in comparison with conventional one because the size of the locking part 10b is determined so that it does not project over the shade 3 through the hole 3a.
