The lighting equipment comprises components for a light source, a light source cover which protects the light source, and a holder (light source cover holder) which holds the light source cover. High luminance polycarbonate resin having high total light transmittivity of 30% or more, is used for the light source cover in order to prevent reduction of brightness of the light source. Polycarbonate resin with inorganic filling is used for the light source cover holder.
