To provide an explosion-proof lighting fixture which can restrain reduction in the luminous flux of the first fluorescent lamp when the first fluorescent lamp can turn on a light, and can function as an illuminator, even when the first fluorescent lamp becomes disabled to turn on light.

The explosion-proof lighting fixture 1 is equipped with a fixture body 2. The fixture body 2 is composed of a box-shaped chassis 3 whose front surface is open, etc. Inside the chassis 3, an illumination unit 6 detachably attached to the chassis 3 is arranged. The illumination unit 6 is equipped with cold cathode fluorescent lamps 10, 11. The cold cathode fluorescent lamp 10 is used for illumination. When the cold cathode fluorescent lamp can turn on light and the temperature inside the chassis 3 is lower than a prescribed temperature, the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 11 is used to heat the inside of the chassis 3; and when the cold cathode fluorescent lamp becomes disabled to turn on light, the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 11 is used for illumination, in place of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp 10.
