PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device that can achieve uniform luminance distribution on an irradiation face member even when a pitch in arranging light emitting devices is increased.SOLUTION: An illumination device has a substrate 311 having a flat top face, a plurality of protrusions 1 that are disposed at predetermined intervals on the top face of the substrate 311 and each has an inclined face 13 to taper upwards, and a light emitting device 21 connected onto each protrusion 1. The inclined face 13 of the protrusion 1 is a mirror face, and the light emitting device 21 has an un-translucent part 217 on the top face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
