PURPOSE: To turn on a lighting means speedily at the time of an incoming call by detecting the arrival of the incoming call and driving and turning on the lighting means on the basis of the detection result.
CONSTITUTION: When there is an incoming call from the opposite party, the incoming call signal is detected by a circuit control signal processing part 5 in a board 14 and its detection information is transmitted to the control part 6 of a handset part 12 through a curl cord. Then the control part 6 sends a control signal to a lighting driving part 10, and consequently a lighting source 11 is driven to illuminates for a certain period. This certain time is set long enough to enable key operation for calling at the time of the arrival of the incoming call and the lighting source is turned off automatically the certain time later to save the electric power. Consequently, a key operation part 9 and a display part 8 are turned on automatically on the arrival of the incoming call and the key operation is performed immediately in the darkness to make an answer to the opposite party speedily.
