Abstract:
To provide a lighting system having an efficient, wide color reproduction range by using a phosphor without greatly affecting the design of a light guide body.
The lighting system comprises a light source, means for obtaining red light, green light and blue light through the use of light from the light source and light emission obtained by excitation of the phosphor by the light source, and a light guide plate that provides a color mixture of the red light, the green light and the blue light to transfer the same, and effects its irradiation in a flat form. The phosphor as a phosphor layer is placed on at least one of the light-irradiating surface, the back surface and the light incident surface of the light guide plate.
