Abstract:
PURPOSE: To change a thickness of a tongue-shaped member sandwiched between a front part and a rear part according to a foot shape of a user by arranging a lenghtwise directional recessed place to receive a packing material, and fixing it to the inside of the recessed place. CONSTITUTION: In a rear part 12 as a tongue-shaped packing material, the side opposed to a foot is formed in a recessed shape, and a front face of a projecting front part 10 of a hard material engages with an opposed wall of a boot. A flat bar-shaped insert 28 longer than a length of a recessed place 24 is inserted into the recessed place 24. A lateral directional slit 30 into which a strip 32 can be penetrated exists on the end of the insert 28. The rear end 32a of the strip 32 is fixed to a rear part 12 of a tongue-shaped member with an adhesive, and for example, the insert 28 can be fixed in the recessed place 24 by the strip 32 and a central strip 14 composed of a temporary fixing means such as a Velcro type fastener. When the insert 28 is inserted in larger quantities or in smaller quantities, the tongue-shaped member can adapt to the individual contours of an instep. An anatomical packing material 46 molded so as to correspond to the front part 10 is exactly filled between linings 34 and 36 under the insert 38.
