To provide a liner motion guide apparatus which can be reduced in size and manufacturing cost by making a large apparatus for cleaning the compressed air to be supplied to a static pressure bearing unnecessary.
The liner motion guide apparatus comprises fixing members 4, a supporting shaft 3 supported by the fixing members 4 at both ends thereof, and a guide member 2 which linearly moves in the axial direction of the supporting shaft 3. The guide member 2 comprises a housing 5 penetrated by the supporting shaft 3, a stator 8 retained inside the housing 5, a rotor 7 arranged on the inner circumferential side of the stator 8, and a sleeve 6 which is arranged inside the rotor 7 and is concentrically penetrated by the supporting shaft 3. Dynamic pressure grooves 6b are formed on the inner circumferential surface 6a of the sleeve 6 so as to generate dynamic pressure by the rotation of the sleeve 6.
