Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation used in a method for the treatment of humans or animals including delivering an active substance to a cell.SOLUTION: A preparation contains a composition having at least one lipid portion which covalently bonds with one or more transfection enhancer elements (TEEs), the at least one lipid portion contains sterol, the one or more TEEs are defined by formula (II), a pH-sensitive hydrophilic portion of each of the one or more TEEs is weak acid having 2 to 6 of pKa independently, is positioned distal from a bond between the lipid portion and TEE, a hydrophobic portion of each of the one or more TEEs is a linear alkyl carbon chain containing 12 to 20 carbon atoms independently; and the composition is a compound expressed in formula (XIV). The formula (II) is: hydrophobic portion-pH-sensitive hydrophilic portion.
