PURPOSE: The titled composition having improved feeling in use, stability, and perspiration-inhibitory effect, containing an antiperspirant substance, a monohydric lower alcohol, a branched-chain middle fatty acid ester, an alcohol-soluble cellulose derivative, and water in a specific ratio.

CONSTITUTION: (A) 1W13wt% antiperspirant substance (e.g., hydroxy aluminum chloride) is blended with (B) 64W90wt% monohydric lower alcohol, (C) 0.5W 17wt% branched-chain middle fatty acid ester [e.g., Kosumoru 525(manufactured by Nishin Seiyu K.K.), etc.], (D) 0.05W2wt% alcohol-soluble cellulose derivative (preferably hydroxypropyl cellulose having 100,000W400,000 average molecular weight and (E) water in such a way that a relative ratio of the three components B, C, and E is within the trapezoid in the triangular coordinate. It has quick-drying properties free from greasiness and rigid feeling, and shows good feeling in use without forming a white film.
