Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device preventing display deterioration due to suction of a flattened film.
SOLUTION: A seal 10 gluing an array substrate 1 with a counter substrate 11 at a prescribed gap is provided so as to be overlapped the end part of the flattened film 6 on the array substrate 1, and the end part of the flattened film 6 is covered so as not to be exposed directly dinto air. Thus, the matter that the flattened film 6 sucks water in the air, and the display deterioration occurs is prevented. Further, when the diameter of a glass fiber 12 diffused in the seal 10 is defined a, the diameter of a spacer 13 is b and film thickness of a color filter 14 is c, by setting so as to become &verbar a-b-c&verbar <0.3μm, uniformity of a cell gap is secured while considering the cut-in of the glass fiber 12 into the flattened film 6. Further, this device contains a means covering the end part of the flattened film 6 by a water-proof barrier layer, and the means covering the end part by a waterproof protective film also.
