PURPOSE: To obtain a display screen having a clear outline with simple constitution in a liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal driving IC.

CONSTITUTION: A transistor as a switching means 5 is added to an emitter and a base of an NPN transistor for driving a liquid crystal panel 1, and an electric charge stored in the liquid crystal panel 1 is discharged by turning on the transistor, and a waveform of a falling part of an output pulse is steepened. By adding an extremely simple circuit, the frequency characteristic of a pulse input waveform of the liquid crystal display device is improved, and the video outline displayed on a liquid crystal screen becomes clear.
