Abstract:
To provide a liquid crystal display element capable of maintaining reliability and suppressing occurrence of display defects due to an afterimage, and a liquid crystal display device comprising the liquid crystal display element.SOLUTION: The present invention is a liquid crystal display element comprising at least a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, an electrode layer arranged on at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, where the liquid crystal layer is composed of a liquid crystal composition having a specific resistance of 1E+13 Ω*cm or more, and a time constant of the liquid crystal display element is 300 seconds or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
