In the liquid crystal display provided with a liquid crystal display panel having a sealing material sticking first and second substrates to each other, a liquid crystal encapsulating port provided at a part of the sealing material and a liquid crystal, encapsulated and sealed in a region enclosed by the sealing material in between the first and the second substrates, the first substrate has first and second sides positioned on mutually opposite sides; the first substrate has a non-superimposed region which is not superimposed on the second substrate on a side of the first side of the first substrate; the liquid crystal encapsulating port is provided on a side of the second side of the first substrate; the sealing material has a first part provided in a frame shape at a peripheral edge part between the first and the second substrates and a pair of second parts sandwiching the liquid crystal encapsulating port and respectively extended toward the second side of the first substrate from the first part. A pair of protruding bodies made of the same material as the sealing material are provided in the non-superimposition region of the first substrate.
