Abstract:
To prevent the generation of display spots.
In a liquid crystal display 2, a water repellent conductive coating film 7 is formed on the outside surface of a sealing material 5 and on the facing surfaces of plates 3, 3 in the outside parts of the sealing material 5. The conductive film 7 can be formed with paint comprising resin in which conductive fine particle are dispersed. When the surface resistance of the conductive film 7 is less than 108Ω/square, plural adjacent electrodes 4, 4 formed on the plate 3 and extending to the outside of the sealing material 5 may electrically be continued, but if the sheet resistance exceeds 1012Ω/square, anti-static effect is insufficient.
