Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device and a liquid discharge method in which a desired image size can be obtained even when modification has occurred to a state of a recording medium due to applied liquid such as ink.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device which applies liquid to a recording medium on the basis of image data and conveys the recording medium, includes: means for calculating an amount of a planned liquid to be applied to the recording medium; means for determining an image processing parameter containing at least an image variable-magnification rate corresponding to transformation predicted on the recording medium, on the basis of the amount of the planned liquid to be applied that is calculated by the calculating means; means for executing image processing of the image data by using the determined image processing parameter; and means for applying the liquid to the recording medium according to a result of the image processing.
